Microsoft Office, Excel, Powerpoint soon on iPhone And Smartphone

Rumors have been circulating about an Office for Smartphones for some time.

But recently The Verge reported that Microsoft plans to release Office versions for iOS and Android in early 2013.

The Microsoft office for mobile or Office Mobile will be in the form of free apps that will allow the iPhone users (first in February – March 2013) and other Smartphone users ( Android later in March or May 2013) to view the microsoft office documents mainly Words documents, Excel and Powerpoint.

To be able to use Office Mobile, users should have a Microsoft account, that will allow them to view the MS. Office documents; To be able to have basic editing, users will need an Office 365 subscription (subscription can be purchased through app).

Microsoft press release reveales that Office Mobile apps for Android and iOS would be made available from March 2013.
