US monitoring Non-US citizens worldwide, Google denies Obama confirms

The U.S. National Security Agency (N.S.A.)  is collecting the telephone records of  US customers of Verizon & most probably all the other mobile operators as well.

This came to light when the Guardian got a copy of a top secret court order issued in April, requires Verizon on an “ongoing, daily basis” to give the NSA information on all telephone calls in its systems, both within the US and between the US and other countries.

This is an internal matter, it concern the U.S. government & the Amercian citizens, but wait there’s more:

According to a leaked 41-slide security presentation obtained by The Washington Post and The Guardian, the National Security Agency (NSA) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have been harvesting data such as audio, video, photographs, emails, and documents from the internal servers of Microsoft, Yahoo, Google, Facebook, PalTalk, AOL, Skype, YouTube, and Apple (Dropbox, is to join soon) …

As a result all the above mentioned companies denied even knowing anything about of the above program “PRISM”, all with no exception denied providing backdoor access to their servers … Some say they are legally obliged to deny the existence of this program.

Google CEO, went a step further, by personally denying the allegations in a blog post saying  “we have not joined any program that would give the U.S. government—or any other government—direct access to our servers. Indeed, the U.S. government does not have direct access or a “back door” to the information stored in our data centers. We had not heard of a program called PRISM until yesterday. ….”

Well, i guess they though “our word against the press, no one trust the press anyway” … and they would have gotten away with it, except i small setback …. the president of the United States actually confirmed it ! And indirectly exposed them for the liars they are!

The U.S. president being on the defensive said:

“With respect to internet and emails, this does not apply to US citizens, and it does not apply to people living in the United States,” he said, “again, in this instance, not only is Congress fully appraised of this, but what is also true is that the FISA Court has to authorize it.”

In summary, what you’ve got is two programs that were originally authorized by Congress; have been repeatedly authorized by Congress; bipartisan majorities have approved them; Congress is continually briefed on how these are conducted; there are a whole range of safeguards involved; and federal judges are overseeing the entire program throughout.

To sum it up:

American citizens get the mobile package:  phone ease dropping and monitoring and full mobile activity collected and analyzed by FBI & NSA.

The rest of the world including Europe & Middle East get the data mining package: All the Facebook, Gmail, Youtube, Yahoo, Hotmail … data collected by the FBI & CIA & NSA , analyzed put on charts , linking you and your family to and your friends … and probably processing this data in softwares that will violate your privacy in a way you won’t even imagine!

Now you know why China and Russia have their own Search Engines, their own social networks and their own email providers!
