Google VS. China

It is no secret that there’s some kind of hostility between Google the number 1 search engine in the world and China the most populous country and with the strongest censoring system “the great firewall of China”.

These problems have been escalating recently, especially with Google shutting down it’s operations in mainland China, moving to Taiwan and redirecting Chinese search through a Taiwanese domain.

But recently China started blocking most of Google services, including Gmail and Google Maps; Even though it is common for China to block from time to time some of Google services, but this time most of these services have been affected, and it is not clear whether this  is a temporary block or it is an increase in the hostility towards Google.
