A google a day, a game, a human search improving factor or a way to get more people to use google plus?


Last year Google & The New York Times launched a trivia game called A Google A Day.

The daily puzzle site  let players find the answer via cunning use of search to different trivia questions.

One month ago, Google launched an application of the game on Google+ Games .

According to Google:

Trivia with a twist. Search for answers, then challenge friends and climb the Google+ leaderboard. A Google A Day is the trivia game where searching for the answer on Google is not only allowed but encouraged. Play A Google a Day on Google+ by finding us in the Games section or by following the link from the original A Google a Day website.


so is this just a Game?

or is there a sort of algorithm to learn from intelligent human search?

or is it a way for google plus to make a buzz and get more people on the google+ train?
